Our Plant Collection
The plant collection at Glenraven reflects the rhythm of the farm. It includes the perennials and grasses we grow for trade and design work, along with those we cultivate to test their strength in our own soil and climate.
This list is a general view of what we grow through the year. It is not exhaustive and does not reflect current stock. For the most up-to-date availability, please refer to our Availability List or email info@glenravennursery.com with the species, sizes, and quantities you need.
Perennials
Our perennial range is chosen for resilience, structure, and ecological value. These plants are grown without pesticides or neonics and thrive in the coastal climate of the southern Gulf Islands. Many are long-lived species that support pollinators and hold their beauty through every season.
You will find genera such as Achillea, Agastache, Allium, Amsonia, Anemone, Echinacea, Geranium, Geum, Helenium, Salvia, Sanguisorba, Thalictrum, and Veronicastrum among others. Each brings its own rhythm of growth and bloom, contributing to the texture and diversity of the landscape.
Grasses
Our ornamental grasses bring movement and structure to gardens and fields. We grow Calamagrostis, Carex, Molinia, Panicum, Schizachyrium, Sesleria, Sporobolus, and Stipa along with other dependable species.
Each has been chosen for seasonal interest, adaptability, and the way it settles naturally into mixed planting. Like all our plants, these grasses are grown organically and without synthetic inputs, ready to establish in gardens designed for long life and low disturbance.
